Oliver Hayne, aged 22, is an award-winning composer and musician from Surrey currently studying music composition at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Oliver's style ranges from a classical approach to more contemporary work, utilising both electronic and acoustic sound worlds. Oliver has written for a variety of forces, from solo instruments to full orchestra. His main interests are composing new works, orchestration and writing for different forms of media. Earlier this year, Oliver's piece was chosen as the winning composition in the West Midlands Platinum Jubilee Music Competition, as a result of this he worked with Master of the Queen's Music Judith Weir and the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. His piece was performed at Birmingham Symphony Hall on the 4th June as part of the Jubilee celebrations (watch video here).
