composer, orchestrator and musician
Oliver Hayne, aged 22, is an award-winning composer and orchestrator from Surrey, now based in Birmingham, England. Last year, Oliver completed a composition degree at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in which he wrote music for a variety of forces, from solo instruments to full orchestra. His style ranges from contemporary concert works to music for media, utilising both electronic and acoustic sound worlds. Oliver now currently works as an orchestrator, having recently been assisting Isabella Summers in different projects. Last year, his piece was chosen as the winning composition in the West Midlands Platinum Jubilee Music Competition. As a result of this, he worked with Master of the King's Music Judith Weir and the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. His piece was performed at Birmingham Symphony Hall on the 4th June as part of the Jubilee celebrations (watch video here).
